NMT® Musical Competencies

Review the musical competencies expected of all NMT® Affiliates

Navigating your NMT® Student Affiliation:

If you are a student and have not yet completed the course requirements for your degree program, you must complete the following to update your student affiliation to a professional affiliation:

3 Support Chapter Meetings / Focused Forums / Global Meetings
Completion of your degree program

And one of the following:

Clinical Practice Hours
- At least 100 Clinical Hours using NMT®
- 10 hours of clinical supervision by an NMT®,
- At least 50 hours must be direct service hours (e.g., assessment, implementation of techniques)
- Up to 30 hours can be administrative (e.g., planning, documenting)
  The remaining hours may be from co-treating or observing
OR NMT® Internship (see list of approved internships)
OR Clinical Practice Workshop
