Clinical Practice Workshops

These intensive 3 day workshop will provide an opportunity for NMT™ affiliates to review and practice the Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT™) System of Techniques under the supervision of the Academy teaching faculty. Live demonstrations, breakout clinical practice sessions, mock scenarios, and standardized assessment practice, will be used to increase your knowledge and clinical competence in the NMT™ system of techniques.

Pre-requisites

This training is open to all students and professionals who have completed the International Training Institute in NMT™.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

Be able to demonstrate an advanced knowledge about Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT™), including all of the taxonomy of techniques used in NMT™ system of techniques;

Demonstrate an increased knowledge of current research supporting NMT™ techniques;

Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Transformational Design Model (TDM)™; a model to assist in treatment selection based on functional goals;

Identify and perform current clinical assessments that can be used by NMT™ affiliates for treatment evaluation.
